What age can my wrestler(s) join the club? The youngest age for a wrestler to start is 5 years old.
How do I determine which age group my child will wrestle in? In Kansas, the age is determined by your wrestler(s) age as of August 31st.
When are the Parent's Information Meetings? The Parents' meetings will take place on October 27th at 6:00 pm at the NWHS P.E. Classroom. You will come in on the Tyler Rd. side and enter through door #41. Sings will be posted & High School Wrestlers will direct you.
When do Practices Start? Monday, November 3rd 6:00 pm
When are the practice times? Monday's, Tuesday's & Thursday's 6:00-7:30 pm full schedule will be on the team's Band app.
How do I know the tournaments my wrestler(s) is competing at? The Grizzly Wrestling Club has picked out a list of tournaments for the season that will be posted soon. These tournaments will have GWC coaches to coach your wrestler(s). Most of them are local, with few opportunities to travel and compete. You can pick and choose which tournaments you want your wrestler(s) to attend. If you are unsure, coaches can help you pick out tournaments that are best suited for them.
How do I sign my wrestler(s) up for the tournaments? You will pay coach prior to the deadline and coach will sign your wrestler(s) up for you.
How much are Tournament Entry Fees? Tournament Entry fees range from $20-$40 per tournament. Wrestler(s) can choose how many tournaments to attend.
What are the age divisions at the Tournaments? For boys and girls, the age divisions are, 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U with "Novice" (1st-2nd year) and "Open" (2+ years) divisions. Note: Most tournaments only have a novice division for 8U & 10U.
